Personal Training
Personal training for people who want expert guidance, a plan that makes sense and someone there to help you get the most from every session.
This may be for you if you’re new to strength training, getting back into exercise, working towards a specific goal or you may simply want to check your technique.
more than counting reps
You don’t need to already be fit, confident in a gym or know exactly what you’re doing. That’s quite literally what I’m there for.
Every session is adapted to you – your goals, experience, ability, energy levels and what your body is capable of that day.
I want you to work hard, but I’m not interested in making exercise miserable for the sake of it.
Expect good coaching, plenty of encouragement, probably some chatting, and training that has an actual purpose.
Who is PT for?
✦ Get stronger and build muscle
✦ Improve your fitness
✦ Feel more confident using weights or gym equipment
✦ Return to exercise after pregnancy or a break
✦ Train safely during pregnancy
✦ Improve your technique
✦ Work towards a particular event or goal
✦ Have some accountability and actually get your sessions done
✦ Learn enough to train confidently on your own
You don’t need a dramatic goal. Wanting to feel stronger, move more and have some time to yourself is a good enough reason to start.
How much is it?
Q&A
Personal Training is best if you want dedicated 1:1 time with me to train, work on technique or simply have someone guide you through a session.
Coaching is a more complete, ongoing service. It includes a personalised training programme, regular check-ins, accountability and support between sessions, with nutrition support included too.
If you’re not sure which would suit you best, get in touch and I can help you decide.
In-person sessions are usually held at Bryn Tanat Hall Gym, on the Powys/Shropshire border.
Online Personal Training sessions are also available via Zoom, so you can train with me from wherever you are.
Yes, by arrangement. If you’d like to bring your baby, just let me know beforehand and we can usually arrange to train in my home gym instead.
It’s a little rustic, but it does the job — and it means baby can come along too.
No. You don’t need to be a member of Bryn Tanat Hall Gym to train with me.
If you book an in-person Personal Training session, access to the gym for your session is included.
That depends on you. We might work on strength, fitness, technique, mobility or a combination of everything.
I’ll plan the session around your goals and experience, and you’ll also receive written notes from the session so you know what we’ve done.
Yes. You will receive a copy of your workout via PDF. You can add access to a digital version for £10 per month, including your workouts, exercise demonstrations and instructions.
If you’re looking for more ongoing support and accountability rather than simply a programme to follow, Coaching may be a better fit.
I release additional Personal Training appointments on selected dates each month.
The exact days can vary depending on my availability, so the easiest way to see what’s coming up is to check the booking page. I’ll also share new dates on Instagram when they’re released.
If there’s nothing suitable showing, you can always get in touch and I’ll let you know what’s likely to be available next.
